WHY SHOULD I USE A REALTOR® TO HELP ME BUY A HOME?

DO I HAVE TO PAY HST WHEN I BUY A HOME?
If you are buying a used home in a typical situation, then HST is NOT payable. Except for a few exeptions, the main situation when HST is payable is when you are purchasing a brand new home.  Contact Grant Wiebe for more info.

HOW MUCH IS THE PROPERTY TRANSFER TAX?
In British Columbia, purchasers of real estate must pay the Property Transfer Tax unless they are first time home buyers who meet all necessary exemption requirements.  The Property Transfer Tax Rate is 1% on the first $200,000 & 2% on the remainder of the purchase price.
